Individual Therapy

Individual therapy allows the client to receive a one - on - one approach during the therapeutic process from the therapist

Can assist clients in their growth process, so they can better cope with present and future problems they might face

The pace of the session is tailored to the client, allowing for an individualised approach

Dependent on the level of support required, the number of therapy sessions can vary with the potential for 6 to 8 visits initially and the frequency of sessions will also be determined; weekly or bi-weekly with ongoing evaluation.

Individual therapy can help with some of the following issues; anxiety, Depression, Low Self -Esteem, Abuse, Stress, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Staff working in clinical positions, Relationship difficulties, Neurological disorders, Physical Illness and Addiction.

$145 (Telehealth) $145 (In-person) for a 50 minute session
Group Therapy

Facilitated by a qualified counsellor/psychological therapist using a variety of psychotherapeutic modalities

Opportunity to meet with other people experiencing similar problems - structured groups focus on a particular theme

Express and explore life experiences together, talking about feelings and exploring these within the safety of a group

Problem – solve in a creative way

Group therapy sessions can benefit the members emotionally due to supporting one another in shared experiences

People generally participate in group therapy to try and alleviate specific psychological problems or specific symptoms, such as anxiety, depression, illness and building self-esteem

Up to 5 members in a group therapy session

Closed therapy groups are those in which all members begin the group at the same time and are confidential

Additional time is needed to conduct client assessments individually prior to commencing group therapy and/or to attend meetings.
Fee
$275 for a 1.5 hour session (30 minutes writing reports or notes)
Children

There are times when it can be very helpful for children to have mental health support

Counselling and Art psychotherapy can provide children with the opportunity to explore their thoughts and feelings, in a safe and contained environment

The methods used in the sessions depend on the child's age, development and situation

A few examples of how counselling can help children, including coping with everyday worries, relationship issues with friends, family members and teachers, and can also help with grief, self-harm concerns, anxiety and learning difficulties

Assessments for children will need to be carried out initially with parents or guardians prior to commencing therapy sessions

The duration of therapy sessions for children are up to 50 minutes.

Are you covered by your health care provider, as many extended health programs cover counselling services (up to a specified yearly amount). It is important to check with your insurance provider to ensure that they cover Registered Clinical Counsellors unless you are paying privately for the therapy

We do accept referrals from other professionals and if required, administration fees may occur (note writing, meetings, etc.) and are charged at a rate of $50 per hour

Make contact through the contact's page. After a client has made contact, I will be in touch to arrange a free 15 minute consultation to ensure that we are a "good fit" and to find out more. Please DO NOT book an appointment before we have spoken on the telephone unless you are an existing client.

Please note that initial assessments are required before therapy begins including Parent/Guardian and Adult assessments, charged at the rate of $145 per assessment in-person and $145 via Telehealth. If It has been over one year since your inital assessment with me, a further inital assessment is required should you wish to resume therapy.

* Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance - late cancellations and missed appointments will require full payment
